Occupational Therapy Department

A professional who works to help a patient achieve and reach a state of life through the use of activities purposeful or designed to achieve occupational outcomes that promote health, help avoid injury or disability, and so as to develop, improve, maintain, or regain the highest possible level of independence. 

The role of the occupational therapist is to improve the individual's performance, overcome the shortcomings or disability resulting from the injury, improve the individual's ability to perform daily duties and work independently, and reduce dependence on others. Promoting health, preventing or developing injuries and disabilities, and maintaining or regaining the highest possible level of independence.
