The main tasks of a psychiatrist involve helping patients manage disorders that may affect their mental health, prescribe appropriate medications and treatments, as well as collaborating with other mental health professionals and counsellors within the therapeutic treatment team who can assist in discussing and elaborating on the agreed-upon treatment interventions.
